Reflection 1: Technology Bits, Bytes, & Nibbles

Technology Bits, Bytes, & Nibbles

This website is filled with a variety of information that will keep one entertained for hours! It was a lot of fun viewing youtube videos that advertised ipads that made me want to get one after watching "The Ipad-orchestra!" I viewed another video that could be shown in a Kindergarten classroom. This video was an animated version of the story "The Giving Tree." I even found a link that took me to learn about how to shop youtube videos to young children without the extra advertisements and other videos that show up in the background.

Besides videos, there are questions asked and areas where you can make a comment on the question. For instance, I made a comment under "What do you want Obama to say about EDCUATION on Tuesday?" By writing my own comment, I was able to engage deeper and on a personal level on this site!

My favorite part of this website, is the easy access of resources under any subject that you will teach someday in your own classroom.  Poetry was one subject I wanted to look into to find activities I could do in my own classroom. I was then led to a site that explained all the different kinds of poetry that you can get your own students to conduct and share with their classmates.

In a nutshell, this website is an excellent source for teachers to use for lesson plan ideas, hear about issues concerning education, for getting your own thoughts an ideas out into the world, and to get you into a positive spirit on teaching!
